You can request payment methods from your Customer Area (test or live). Make sure you are at the merchant level, as payment methods can not be requested from the company level. Then go to Account > Payment methods, and click Request payment methods.*
Some payment methods require you to have a direct agreement. In order to enable these methods, we need the following information:
- Klarna: StoreID, Secret, Funds settle to (merchant or Adyen), Currencies.
- AfterPay: Portefeuille ID, Password, Acquirer ID, Currencies.
- RatePAY: Merchant ID (MID or Profile ID), API Key, Shop ID (optionally)
- Neteller: MID, Client ID, and Secret.

This error relates to the setup of payment methods. It may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The currency is not configured or supported.
Solution: Check if the currency that you are using in a transaction is configured for this payment method. Some payment methods such as SEPA direct debit (EUR) only support a single currency. Other payment methods can be enabled for a variety of currencies.
- The minimum amount is set too low or too high.
Solution: Check the minimum amounts set for each payment method.
- The payment method is not configured.
Solution: Follow the guidance in this FAQ to have the payment method added to your account.
- The payment type (shopperInteraction) is not configured/supported.
Solution: A recurring payment is attempted, while this is not configured/supported. Please refer to the Payment methods overview to see if recurring is supported for the payment method.
To check or configure these settings, open your Customer Area and go to Account > Payment Methods while on merchant level.

You can use separate authorisation and capture for the following payment methods:
- American Express
- Cartes Bancaires
- Apple Pay
- Android Pay
- Open Invoice methods such as Afterpay, Klarna, and Ratepay
For most card payments, authorisations expire automatically after 28 days (except American Express, after three days, and Cartes Bancaire, after 12 days). PayPal captures are only guaranteed for three days after the authorisation.

Some payment methods (such as SEPA Direct Debit) do not guarantee any assurance of funds in the /SentForSettle state. The funds are not guaranteed until the transaction is settled.
